Planned Parenthood often bills itself as the largest volunteer organization in the world. Indeed, pro-life/pro-family advocates know it to be a huge monolith – no matter what country they set their eyes to prey upon.

And they’re getting bigger.

A $200,000 grant to Planed Parenthood USA will enable this huge conglomerate to continue and expand its presence on a new culture – the worldwide web.

Just a year and a half ago, PP’s presence on the internet was sporadic at best. That has changed. It is now one of the largest pro-abortion groups on the web…providing their ‘slant’ on news and information, from how to put a condom on to the latest dirt on your pro-life activist. Even the wonderful and wacky wisdom of Planned Parenthood patron saint Margaret Sanger is featured. And, of course, one must not forget information is also available on how to ‘exercise your right to choose’ (i.e. kill your baby).

International Planned Parenthood features their slant on news happening at the United Nations, and how nation after nation has been assimilated by their empire. “Resistance is futile” seems to be the key phrase when examining the nation count.

While the $200,000 grant is disheartening, it should galvanize the pro-life movement to an ongoing admission – that the battle for the hearts and souls of the community – of the world are won – one person at a time.

But now it is a level playing field for pro-life. You see, in the internet culture, there is no ‘media’ to filter our message. We can print, advertise, shout and whisper our message of hope, truth, and logic to the entire world.

One such organization accomplishing this is Life Decisions International, an organization challenging all aspects of Planned Parenthood’s agenda – with Doug Scott and Patricia Bainbridge at the helm. Their Internet presence (www.interlife.org/ldi/) and their “hard copy” brochures are an avenue where you will learn the truth about PP – in Canada, the United States and even internationally.

We can effectively challenge PP’s propaganda machine with our own message of truth. We can also effectively research the purveyors of death – and spread the word about what we have found.

In this column I hope to do just that.

For years I have researched the ones researching us. The internet has opened a brand new world of information – the realization is that there is a lot going on that we don’t know about. But, more importantly, there is more evidence of the ongoing battle between the “culture of life” and the “culture of death.”

And I’m encouraged.

Lord willing I will provide you with information and commentary and what is going on in this culture war…with a particular western bent.

The greatness of the pro-life movement is the fact that so many of us work together, even though we are separated by thousands of miles.

But we in the west also realize that we need our eastern brothers and sisters in this battle to be aware of what is happening in our “neck of the woods.” We need your prayers and advice.

And we shouldn’t sit on information.

Over the next few months I hope to cover and inform you of our dear friends promoting the culture of death. How government collusion in the abortion industry threatens the rights and freedoms of all of us – and how the media looks the other way. I’ll also be reporting on events in western Canada – you’ll be surprised at the amount of activity.

Margaret Sanger once called Vancouver the “gateway to Canada” (she said that on a visit to British Columbia in the 1920’s). Recognizing that B.C. had strong influence on what happens in the rest of the country, I’ll write a little on that too.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Canada’s first fulltime pro-life internet missionary. I’ve been involved in the pro-life movement for 15 years. I’m 36 years old, married to Marina and we have eight beautiful children with another child set to visit our home in July.

I believe we can win this battle. I believe we are winning in key areas. Why else would government and the abortion industry try so disenfranchise us from public life?

And we will talk about that too.

See you soon!
