Long-time Campaign Life Coalition supporter John Terrence (Terry) Dalton passed away on May 25 at the age of 86. Described by Paul Lauzon of the CLC Ottawa as a “lifetime supporter” of the organization, Dalton was a regular financial donor to the cause as well as a frequent letter-writer. He was involved with CLC locally from the beginning, and he would regularly send letters to both newspapers and parliamentarians upholding the cause of life.
Terry Dalton was married to the late Dorothy Dalton for 55 years and had six children, 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dalton enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in World War II. He retired from the RCAF in 1965, after teaching at Staff College of the Canadian Military and posted at Intelligence in NDHQ in Ottawa. He began a second career teaching high school for 15 years.
He died peacefully at Central Park Lodge in Ottawa.
