Terrace, B.C. – A 19 year-old native woman, Myrna George, underwent a suction abortion at the Mills Memorial Hospital here on September 11, 1991. She was 16 weeks pregnant. She went into shock shortly after the abortion, probably as a result of a perforated uterus.
She died three days later, on September 14. The incident was reported in the Vancouver Sun of Monday, September 16.
The abortionist in question is obstetrician Dr. Gordon Boye. The family is demanding a full inquest.
