The army is the latest branch of government found to be promoting the killing of the unborn. After politicians, the civil service (Ministry of Health), the judiciary, prosecutors and the police, the army, too, is involved in aiding and abetting abortions.

A Canadian Forces base near Chicoutimi, Quebec, “helped” 39 out of 40 pregnant soldiers to get abortions over a four-year period, Dr. Raymonde Devos told Radio-Canada on December 13, 1989. Only one soldier decided to continue her pregnancy. “It’s an impressive statistic,” she stated.

“They know very well that if they pursue their pregnancies they will be subjected to repression from their colleagues, from their unit head and from their career manager,” Dr. Devos said.

“Women who abort in the Canadian Forces are better treated than women with children,” Lieutenant Colonel Lise Boulanger, a former military judge, told Radio-Canada.

Women account for about 10 per cent of the 88,000 soldiers in the Canadian forces. (Globe, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Sun, December 14, 1989)
