Sexual equality and respect for women are the keys to ending wife assault, the Ontario government says.

Anne Swarbrick, the NDP government’s Minister of Women’s Issues, is convinced that education, women’s services and women gaining control over their lives will stop this crime.  Hence the government will extend a five-year anti-violence program and start a province-wide education campaign to teach the public that violence against women is a crime.

Swarbrick said people must “think of it as [equally] heinous for anyone to assault their wives as we think of it to murder someone, or to beat up anyone.”  (Toronto Star, November 2, 1990)

What the pro-abortion Minister does not understand is that as long as she herself and her government condone the murder of unborn babies, her educational campaigns will remain without results.
