A homosexual lobby group – has a member sitting on the advisory committee that will oversee this counseling programme (and a curriculum unit on homosexuality). At the same time, the Board refused to allow any parent to sit on this committee.

Legal advisors have indicated that this arbitrary, anti-family action on the part of the Toronto Board of Education may expose them to legal challenges and liabilities, including a possible breach of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom.

Please keep this letter in my child’s school file.
Make copies for other children in the family. Letters should be sent to the school principal as early as possible in the school year.
Without such a letter, your child could receive counseling dangerous to his/her welfare. The best education in health care involves parents, teachers and students working together not secret.
Ask your public school trustee in the next municipal election this November how he or she voted on this issue. Urge candidates to abolish this counselling programme.
