Nearly 400 people gathered for a testimonial dinner to honour Interim editor Fr. Ted Colleton on October 19 at the Ellas Dining Room in Scarborough. Fr. Ted was being honoured (and roasted) for his tireless efforts to protect the unborn and his energetic contributions to the community. Fr. Ted’s powerful imagination – see adjacent article – and strength of spirit and faith have helped to enrich every community in which he has lived. This strength of spirit was not flagging on the night of the 19th. when he gave a side-splitting one hour monologue that had many people in tears with laughter. Fr. Ted can tell a story, but then a few were told on him that evening too.
Fr. Ted is taking on new duties beside those of The Interim, has become the head fundraiser for the Spiritan community.
