Joe Borowski, Canada’s long-time pro-life activist, has been warned that his refusal to pay a $50 fine (for trespass at the Morgentaler clinic in Toronto last November) will result in a warrant for committal to prison.

Mr. Borowski pleaded guilty to trespass and informed the court last April that he would not pay a fine.  He requested that the prison sentence be referred to the Manitoba Attorney General and said it would save money id he were allowed to serve his sentence in a Manitoba jail.

The Court Clerk has informed Mr. Borowski that a hearing will be held on October 8 before the warrant is issued.  He has repeated his willingness to serve a prison term in a Manitoba jail.
