On Ash Wednesday afternoon, three Catholic high school teachers knelt on the back steps at 85 Harbord Street and prayed a Rosary.  The three courageous men, Jim Bissonette, Peter McCann and Tom Benton were led away by police to 14 division where they were charged with failure to obey a police order.  Mr. Bissonette stated in an interview of CITY TV: “Christians frequently pray for the dead at cemeteries.  Lent especially is a time for prayer and fasting throughout the Christian world.  We also wanted to set an example for teachers and students.”
