Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre very successful

The Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre, run by Co-Workers to Human Life has had a very successful first year of operation.  The centre which opened in November of 1984, has had over 500 clients and believes to be responsible for changing the minds of 80 per cent of the people who came requesting help to obtain an abortion.  January 1985, figures provide an indication of the Centre’s good work:

No. of clients                                                    63

No. of positive tests                                          29

No. of negative tests                                         34

No. of pro-abortion before counseling   30

No. of  pro-abortion after counseling                 14

Also, on January 20, a baby girl (to have been aborted in 1985) was born.  Much to the organization’s relief, Revenue Canada informed Co-Workers for Human Life that their crisis Centre would be granted tax-exempt status and be able to issue tax receipts for donations.  The Centre needs volunteers and financial help.
