On October 25, a group of 40 pro-lifers demonstrated on the sidewalk in front of the Attorney General of Ontario’s office at 720 Bay Street in Toronto.
The group was asking for the release of Linda Gibbons, the pro-life activist who is in jail for disobeying the injunction in effect at the abortuaries in Toronto, 60 feet from the front door. Signs like: “Free Linda Gibbons” and “We love your Linda” were carried by the pro-lifers and approximately 500 handouts with a similar message were handed out.
The event was organized by a newly formed group, who call themselves “Operation Streetmedia.”
They have their home at “The Way Inn” on 300 Gerrard St. and are planning to organize monthly activities to once again take this issue in the streets of Toronto.
The first event will be on December l5, at Mount Sinai Hospital, 600 University Avenue. (4-5 p.m.)
“Operation Streetmedia” is fashioned after the booklet Our Media is the Streets, by Fr. Frank A. Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life.
