We often hear from readers that this paper seems too supportive of the Conservative Party. Campaign Life Coalition hears from their supporters that they are in the bag for the Tories. We appreciate why it seems this way, but it is not true. We are not partisan. We are pro-life. Unfortunately, in Canadian politics today the only major party that allows pro-life and pro-family Canadians to get involved in policy debates, local nominations, and leadership campaigns is the federal Conservative Party and its provincial cousins by whatever name they go by (usually the Progressive Conservatives).

We genuinely would like if our readers could be active promoting pro-life initiatives and individuals in all the parties, but the NDP long ago became officially pro-abortion and the Liberals under Justin Trudeau and Greens under Elizabeth May have become equally unwelcoming.

Part of the reason we urge our readers to get involved with parties on the Right is to ensure at least one of the major parties are forced to pay attention to pro-life voters. If the pro-life and pro-family candidates do not receive our support, it is not unimaginable that we will lose the conservative parties, too. Yes, there is the Christian Heritage Party and the possibility of a new party, but there is no reason to abandon the so-called mainstream parties to try to influence our national and provincial politics.
