The Canadian Youth pro-Life Organization is a far-flung group of young people from across Canada who has banded together to fight abortion, euthanasia, infanticide and the pro-death forces active in our society.
We are single individual in Penticton, B.C., an established group in Saskatoon, a struggling two or three in Lawn, Nfld., a new group in Lindsay, Ont. We are people just the same as yourself. From the campuses of Victoria to Antigonish, university clubs work to bring the pro-life message to students or high school students in Christian or Catholic high schools who have formal associations. Sometimes CYPLO is one person in a school; the only pro-life voice heard.
CYPLO is people who care enough to man information tables un public places; people who proudly wear pro-life buttons; people who will spread the pro-life message by leafleting anywhere and everywhere; people who’ll hold a single candle outside a hospital on a cold winter night; people who will stand up and speak to an audience so that the voiceless and defenseless can be heard and defended.
CYLOP is young people attacking the pro-life problems in our society by whatever means we have at our disposal. Each of us reacts and works differently, but together we can encourage and support, educate and lead.
CYPLO is people who care enough to say that people as persons matter and who work to prove it.
We are people who scramble madly to put out a newsletter by an impossible deadline -and make it. We are the ones who patiently explain, yet again, that the unborn have rights. We are the type who can laugh together at the joy and sheer goodness of life.
We can survive the condescending putdowns by M.P.’s who see us as naïve and harmless. We knock on an endless series of doors on an all too-brief political campaign. We come together in conferences to deepen our commitment, revise our tactics, debate our strategies, and to realize that we are not alone in the battle.
We are Canadian Youth Pro-Life Organization.
