There are two stories in this issue that delve into ways in which the Culture of Death is sustained through deception. We have a story about how the abortion pill is being marketed as “missed period pills.” Of course, the missed period being described is not a medical ailment, but a natural occurrence during pregnancy. The pill does not treat the missed period, but causes the resumption of a woman’s menstrual cycle by killing the embryonic human being growing inside a woman’s uterus. The second story is about how there is no murder epidemic of people who identify as transgender. Transgender advocates peddle the story of an epidemic of trans murder victims to call for special protections and rights for this class of people, but Canada averages less than one such murder a year – hardly an epidemic. We said last month in this space that pro-lifers do not have the luxury of lying; the other side has no such scruples.
