George ‘The Killer” Tiller earns his nickname

Late-term abortionist George “the Killer” Tiller has once again been suspected in the death of a mother seeking the abortion of her baby. A 19-year-old disabled woman from Texas suffered a fatal medical emergency in mid January while at Tiller’s abortuary in Wichita, Ks., the Women’s Health Care Services.

Operation Rescue, a pro-life group that keeps constant vigil outside the abortuary premises, reports that no less than five ambulances in the past 13 months have rushed women from the abortuary to the nearby Wesley Medical Centre. It was only a few weeks prior to this most recent incident that another woman died, after similarly being rushed to hospital by ambulance due to a medical emergency.

WHCS is an unlicensed and unregulated facility classified as a “doctor’s office,” where dangerous second- and third-trimester abortions are committed. According to a comment by the president of Canadian Physicians for Life, Will Johnston, MD, Tiller’s victims are “completely healthy babies who were at, or were well past, the age of survivability outside their mothers.”

Johnston continued in his comments to LifeSiteNews.com that Tiller will kill the unborn child and “deliver the poor thing while dressing it all up as compassion.” According to Johnston, Tiller is “proudest of the victims that have genetic problems, which are not survivable. By killing them before they would have died naturally, he claims to be doing everyone a favour.”

It is to this same facility that health authorities in Quebec and other Canadian provinces have been sending Canadian women who are seeking late-term abortions. Last fall, The Interim reported that while late-term abortions are not illegal in Quebec, there are few doctors who are willing to commit the gruesome procedures, especially since the unborn child is fully formed.

Gillian Long of Campaign Life Coalition commented in a LifeSiteNews.com report, “Most unborn children at that advanced stage of pregnancy can survive outside the womb. Why are we spending $5,000 (US) for an elective abortion, when health dollars are so tight?” The cost of sending one patient to the WHCS is paid for by Canadian taxpayers’ dollars and The Interim reported that it costs $5,000 (US) each.

Quebec Health Minister Philippe Couillard admitted that in 2003, at least 30 Quebec late-term abortions were committed in Kansas and New York. He also stated that the majority of these 30 abortions were done because of “congenital malformation.” In response to these admissions, Jim Hughes, national president of Campaign Life Coalition, stated, “Instead of protecting the basic human right to life of the unborn, abortions are being done as a modern and politically correct form of eugenics.”

Operation Rescue continues to monitor the abortion mill where so many babies have entered and never returned – and increasingly women. The president of the pro-life organization, Troy Newman, said, “We are here to uncover and report the truth: babies are dying and women are being maimed … We must ask ourselves how much more human tragedy must we endure before we will take action to stop abortion now.”

As pro-lifers on the scene of the many ambulance arrivals from WHCS ask Tiller, “How many more women have to be injured before you stop, George?”
