Pro-life picketers have stepped up their fight for the unborn by taking their peaceful pickets to the homes of two Morgentaler “clinic” employees.

On March 18, approximately 40 picketers appeared outside the home of Jane Berry, a senior nurse at the abortuary.  Pamphlets on the unborn child were distributed to local residences along with the statement explaining the actions of the picketers.

“She has resisted all our pleas to reconsider what she is doing,” the statement said.  “Please talk to Jane, ask her to find other work.”

Ms. Berry, 27, who was home at the time, was shocked to see the picketers adding that “They’re stepping up their harassment tactics.”  According to Milton Arris, a neighbour of Ms. Berry, the pickets were entirely peaceful.

A second such picket appeared some three weeks later – this time outside the Riverdale home of abortionist, Nikki Colodny.  About fifty picketers marched silently against Colodny, who is now the main abortionist at the Harbord Street Abortuary.

“We’re not here to condemn her,” said co-ordinator Stephen Jalsevac.  “We are trying to persuade her to leave the abortuary.”

One of the picketers, Dan McCash, knocked on Colodny’s door but no one answered.  “I was wanting to talk to her to persuade her to leave that killing machine and become a healing doctor again.” Said McCash.

John Gordon, a local neighbour, had nothing but praise for the actions of the picketers.  “They’re not trespassing.  They’re not shouting or insulting her, but they’re certainly bringing the message,” he said.

According to Mr. Jalsevac, more picketing of abortuary staff is planned for the future.  Those interested in taking part are asked to call the Campaign Life hotline (FOR-LIFE).
