The Toronto Catholic Doctor’s Guild hosted their Annual Mass and Dinner on Sunday, October 27, 1991.

A representative from the Catholic Adoption Centre delivered a heartwarming address on the Centre’s outreach to parents willing to consider adoption as an alternative to abortion.

The Centre’s focus is consistent with Catholic teaching on the sanctity of life.  The highly qualified staff are dedicated to enhancing and protecting the well being of the child, with full support for both the birth parents and the adoptive parents.

The dinner address was delivered by Archbishop Aloysius Ambrozic in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Archdiocese.

The Archbishop stressed that the key to preventing the complete secularization of contemporary Catholic institutions lies in the formation and maintenance of lay communities of the faithful.  He emphasized that community prayer, study of the Catholic faith, and planning are essential to perpetuate the faith and preserve our moral values.

Members of the Toronto Catholic Doctor’s Guild contribute their professional expertise towards the understanding and development of Catholic principles as they apply to modern science and technology.  Membership is open to Catholic physicians, dentists, residents, interns, medical and dental students.
