In our March 1985 issue, p.24, The Interim passed on newspaper reports that Henry Morgentaler’s attendance at the International Conference on Law and Medicine held in India in February 1985 was co-sponsored by the Canadian Medical Association and the British Columbia Medical Association.
In a letter to Dr. Carmelo Scime, Hamilton, dated April 18, Dr. T.A. McPherson, President of the CMA, emphatically denied that either of these two associations sponsored Morgentaler’s attendance at that conference.
