Hamilton’s second annual Walk For Life in June drew a crowd of more than 350 marchers, and a police motorcycle escort.  “It was spectacular,” said area Right to Life President Norman Donnelly.  “They were spread back about five blocks with a six-man motorcycle escort by the police department.”

Another 250 enthusiastic people gathered to meet the marchers at the Walk’s finish.  Many flew helium-filled balloons sporting the group’s “Love Life” slogan.  Special guest speakers present at the event were Hamilton Alderman Geraldine Copps, Mary Kiss (Right to Life, Montreal), Rev. A.J. Smith, St. Mary’s Church, and Dr. Clark Pinnock, McMaster University.

This year’s attendance was up by 200, an increase of 50 per cent above last year’s.
