In total, 26 sitting MPs are not running again. Sadly, 11 of them are pro-life and pro-family. Pro-lifers in the communities formerly represented by these men and women should redouble their efforts to elect pro-life, pro-family MPs to ensure that the total number of pro-life MPs does not slide backwards in the next Parliament. We will miss the presence of the 11 retiring MPs in the House of Commons and hope they will continue to serve the public with their courageous and necessary pro-life and pro-family stands:
Conservatives:
David Chatters (Westlock-St. Paul)
Jim Gouk (Southern Interior)
Gurmant Grewal (Newton-North Delta)
Dale Johnston (Wetaskiwin)
Charlie Penson (Peace River)
Werner Schmidt (Kelowna)
Darrel Stinson (North Okanagan-Shuswap)
Randy White (Abbotsford)
Independent:
Pat O’Brien (London Fanshawe)
Liberals:
Jerry Pickard (Chatham-Kent-Essex) Rose Marie Ur (Lambton-Kent-Middlesex)
We thank them all for their courageous defense of the sanctity of human life and standing up for traditional marriage. God bless them.
