As if we needed any further evidence of media bias, witness the difference in treatment in the coverage of the “stress leaves” taken by MP Gurmant Grewal and former MP Svend Robinson.
Robinson took his leave after being caught pilfering a $50,000 diamond ring. He made the ludicrous claim his “stress” was caused by a serious injury suffered seven years earlier, yet no media outlet ever questioned how he managed to survive those intervening years in Parliament, despite that “stress.” Instead, he was sympathetically portrayed as a victim.
