The United Nations Population Fund has jumped on the bandwagon and tied “reproductive health” and population control to climate change in it’s State of the World Population 2009 report, subtitled “Facing a changing world: women, population and climate.” Piero A. Tozzi Jr., of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, which monitors the UN and international issues, writes about the report, saying it is a “thinly-veiled attempt to harness popular environmental concerns in service of population control.” LifeSiteNews.com also covers the Population Fund’s report.

Politico reports that Senator Ben Nelson (D, Neb.) says he will fillibuster the health care reform bill if it does not contain language that forbids federal taxpayer subsidies for abortion. Writing at The American Spectator Online, W. James Antle III says the vote is a “moment of truth” for Nelson and other pro-life Democrats in the Senate.
