Therese Weiler. For her courage and endurance during her Walk for Life across Canada. The Ontario woman began her journey April 21, 1992 and finished in August of this year. Along the way she spread the pro-life message to anyone who would listen. Her journey was made possible through the generous help of Business for Life, which supplied a mobile home which followed her along her route.
THORN:
Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. For reinstating abortion services after more than a year of being almost completely abortion-free. The commissioners of the hospital, under pressure from the District Health Council, voted to bring back abortions to the hospital and to bring in outside help, since no local doctors want to get involved. Because the services will be inside the hospital, pro-lifers will have little chance to counsel the pregnant women.
