Amy Brennerman on birth control
Actress Amy Brenneman, star of Judging Amy, sent a video message to the Feminist Majority Foundation as it launched its nationwide “Never Go Back” campaign. Brenneman said: “Reproductive freedom is the most important issue facing our leaders today … It is not a feminist issue. It is not a liberal issue. It is a women’s health issue.” Other celebs involved in the 20 state campaign include Whoopi Goldberg, Cybil Sheppard, Morgan Fairchild, Camryn Manheim and Gillian Anderson.
Jane Fonda honoured
Planned Parenthood honoured Jane Fonda with the Margaret Sanger Award at an event in Portland, Oregon, saying that the reportedly born-again Christian is “a passionate advocate for reproductive rights and a leader in the field of teen pregnancy prevention.”
