Americans United for Life is using a video campaign to encourage people to get behind the effort to defund the billion-dollar Planned Parenthood organization. The American Independent has the story. About one-third of PP’s revenues come from various levels of government (federal, state and city). AUL president Charmaine Yoest quotes Rep. Mike Pence, who says it is time to let the abortion providers provide for themselves. Yoest also says that PP is vulnerable to a defunding effort because they are under unprecedented scrutiny and the growing pro-life sentiment of Americans.

Defunding works. The Associated Press reports that Planned Parenthood of Indiana is threatening to close 7 of 28 facilities in the state unless state-level funding is re-instated (by court order).
