Six Life Prize winners were announced by the Gerard Health Foundation and all six are very deserving winners: Jean Head (UN Representative for National Right to Life); Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network; Douglas Johnson (legislative director of the National Right to Life Committee); Kristan Hawkins (executive director of Students for Life America); Rev. Alveda King (niece of Martin Luther King Jr. and one of the most prominent black pro-lifers in America); Marie Smith (director of the Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues and wife of Rep. Chris Smith of New Jersey).
Jill Stanek has more about each of the winners. More information about the Life Prizes here. I have interviewed five of the six over the past 12 years and have been educated and enriched by the experience with all five. Congratulations to them all and to the Gerard Health Foundation for funding the award.
