Andrea Mrozek has a post at ProWomanProLife on a lawsuit against Dr. Norman Barwin, founder of an Ottawa fertility clinic that is being sued for inseminating two women with the “wrong sperm.” He is also a former president of Planned Parenthood Canada, who of course was awarded the Order of Canada in the 1990s. Says Mrozek: “I’m starting to think it really doesn’t take much to get into the Order of Canada.” Just the right politics. Promoting abortion is always the correct politics to get rewarded with Canada’s highest civilian honour.
Quick comment about the larger issue surrounding Barwin’s case. Funny how when “insemination” occurs in the traditional way during the intimate relations between husband and wife, there is never a problem with someone ending up with the “wrong sperm.” For more on the case, see the National Post story.
