iPolitics reports that Health Canada is not likely to decide whether to approve the abortion drug RU-486 (mifespristone, or as iPolitics calls it, the “gold standard” in abortion pills).

The Interim reported in February that Health Canada confirmed that an unnamed company had applied to have mifepristone approved and that last year a group of doctors called for an expedited approval of importation of the drug.

Campaign Life Coalition’s 2014 National March for Life is focused on Health Canada’s consideration of  RU-486, with the theme RU 4Life? CLC has a fact sheet on the dangers of RU-486.

In 1998, we ran a long feature on RU-486, “the human pesticide.”
