It was a very good day for pro-lifers. Republicans have gained control of the House of Representatives, most of the Obamacare-supporting “pro-life” Democrats are no longer in Congress, we’ve added about a half-dozen pro-life senators (including a Democrat from West Virginia), and several pro-life governors. Congressional Quarterly says it is more likely that abortion will be an issue in the next session. Jill Stanek links to a number of pro-life groups who endorsed/rated candidates but the best news stat comes from Planned Parenthood who says that only 151 of 435 members of the House of Representatives are solidly pro-abortion. It would have been nice to defeat Senators Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer, but you can’t win them all.
