Cambridge Pro-Lifers organize picket of local abortionists’ office. In Cambridge, Ontario, the Right to Life Association has been picketing at the offices of the local abortionists “Dr.” Assad and “Dr.” Chan, since June of this year.
Before the picketing began; Cambridge RTL president Annelise Steden and Dr. Reginald Bannister held a meeting with the two abortionists. The latter were informed that the Cambridge pro-lifers will be picketing their offices for as long as they continue to commit abortions.
Assad and Chan disliked the idea very much. Assad commented that “there is no need for the pro-life people to picket.” He claims that the abortions are being done within the law.
In Cambridge, Dr. Assad is well known for delivering babies. The public is now seeing another side to him.
The picketing of the offices takes place every week-day for an hour. Sometimes the picketers are insulted by passing motorists. A number of lawyers have threatened to sue them. Perhaps the hardest thing about picketing is having to be out of doors in the hot and hay afternoons or in the rain. The good thing about picketing is that the public is now noticing what their local physicians are doing.
