Toronto pro-life activist “Jane Doe” was released on Wednesday October 2, without signing any bail conditions. On Thursday October 3, she returned to the Scott abortuary to counsel distressed, pregnant women and was promptly re-arrested.

On Monday, October 5, Jane Doe was arraigned in Court. The Court date was set for Tuesday, October 13 at College Park Courthouse at 10:00 a.m.

An evening vigil was held for her on Thanksgiving Day, Monday October 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Metro West Detention Centre. Some dozen people sang hymns and prayed for her.

At the Tuesday October 13 Court hearing, Jane Doe was charged with “obstructing a peace officer” (for picketing outside of Scott’s) and “breaking a probation order.” The police have since acquired her name and the Court has set her next trial date on November 18.

Linda Gibbons remains in jail until then.
