Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro has criticized a local Catholic school for hosting Liberal MP Justin Trudeau and questioned Trudeau’s Catholicism. Trudeau is upset on being called out on his personal version of his faith that is not in accordance with the tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Justin Trudeau is pro-abortion and pro-same-sex marriage. In 2001, at an event in preparation for World Youth Day, he spoke out against the Catholic Church. It seems to me that Del Mastro is justified in making his comments, that Trudeau should stop calling himself Catholic, and that Catholic institutions should stop inviting the former prime minister’s son to their events as featured speakers.
