Oz, I think you're right that Americans want fewer abortions but the CNN/Opinion Research poll numbers don't reveal that. Unless the "few" circumstances that respondents support were spelled out, I'm not sure we can surmise what the respondents think are permissible limits and whether most abortions fall within those confines.
