An organization which has saved hundreds of babies from the jaws of death, marks a decade of fighting abortion on the frontlines

“In as much as you did unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.”  Matt. 25:40

Choose Life Canada was founded by the Reverend Ken Campbell on December 10, 1984, the day criminal abortions were scheduled to resume at Henry Morgentaler’s illegal abortuary on 85 Harbord Street in downtown Toronto.

A couple of months later, on Father’s Day, Ken Campbell officially opened “The Way Inn” on 87 Harbord Street, thereby creating a loving, life-affirming, civilized Christian alternative for women with crisis pregnancies.

The last ten years have seen the Way Inn move several times.  Because of an injunction obtained by Henry Morgentaler in the summer of 1989, The Way Inn was forced to move to Carlton Street.  Later, when a place became available on Gerrard Street, it again moved, nest to the Cabbagetown Women’s Clinic, its current location.

During this period, The Way Inn amalgamated with Aid to Women and in its current form it continues to meet the needs of women in crisis pregnancies and to draw attention to the plight of the helpless preborn babies who are slaughtered by the tens of thousands each year.

Over the last ten years, hundreds of babies have been saved through on the spot counseling and many more because their mothers saw the signs activists carry on the street or by reading our pamphlet.

Fathers’ Day, 1995, marks 10 years of doing God’s work at “the gates of hell” and The Way Inn/Aid to Women would like you to join them to celebrate with a silent vigil on the street and a reception inside on Saturday June 17th from 2-4 p.m.  The address:

The Way Inn/Aid to Women

300 Gerrard St. East

Toronto, ON, M5A 2G7

“The Lord has surely done great things, whereof God’s people were glad.”  Psalm 126:3

Who can help?

The board of The Way Inn/Aid to Women is looking into establishing a “Health Centre” on Gerrard Street.

We would like to provide our pregnant and new mothers with a place where they can receive continued help, nutrition counseling, etc..  Only four houses away from our offices on 300 Gerrard St. East, a small dwelling is for rent, which would suit this purpose well.

The rent is only $600.00 a month, but some renovating and redecorating needs to be done.

Aid to Women needs:

  1.
    1. Financial commitment for the $600.00 per month
    2. A handyman to do the renovations
    3. Medical professionals to donate a couple of hours a month.
